The PlayStation 5 Sony will come later this year, and gamers finally recently emerged, presenting a bold new look of the console to give us a better idea of what they will offer with its storage innovative SSD and 3D audio card Tempest. Sony took a look at many games coming for its new console, which triggered our appetites very well.

1. Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Release date: 2020 holidays

Publisher: Insomniac Spider-Man was one of the best games of the last generation, and Insomniac is not hanging around: it already has a locked and loaded sequel, ready for the launch of the PS5. This time, Miles Morales will put on the suit to defend his city, after learning how to be a hero in the last game. The brief look we’ve had suggests that it will be another surprise.

After all, it was a Spider-Man tech demo that first ignited people’s imaginations about the enormous potential that Sony’s new SSD would unlock – we can’t wait to see how it works.

2. Grand Theft Auto VI

Release date: TBC

Publisher: Rockstar

There are almost too many rumors surrounding the likely upcoming Rockstar game in the Grand Theft Auto franchise to properly summarize, but suffice it to say, it almost has to be on its way. It is also very likely to appear on next-gen consoles, especially since we are not sure that it will be released in 2020. At the moment, speculation abounds that players will return to Vice City and the surrounding area, but nothing has yet been confirmed. Still, it’s almost guaranteed that one of the world’s largest entertainment franchises will hit the PS5 in no time.

3. Godfall

Release date: December 2020

Exclusive PS5: Yes

Publisher: Gearbox

Godfall is one of the only confirmed launch titles for PlayStation 5 – it will launch alongside the new console. It’s a third-person shooter in the mold of Destiny or The Division 2, and it looks like it should take full advantage of the console’s power with pretty impressive visual magic.

4. Outriders

Release date: 2020 holidays

PS5 Exclusive: No, also on Xbox Series X, PS4 and Xbox One

Publisher: Square Enix

Stop us if you’ve heard this before, but outriders is a lot of shots, in the mold of the likes of Destiny or The Division 2 – it focuses on multiplayer action, but is quite different from Godfall, above. It has a much grittier tone, and it also has a lot more gameplay for you to see.

The game is in development as a cross-gen title, meaning it will be released on both PS4 and PS5, though players on the latter hardware can obviously expect an increase in performance and graphics.

5. Watch Dogs: Legion

Release date: 2020 holidays

Publisher: Ubisoft

Another of Ubisoft‘s next games, delayed until the end of the year, is the really intriguing Watch Dogs: Legion, and we hope it will hit PS5 for the same reasons as Gods and Monsters.

It’s another open-world game in the Watch Dogs series, but with a new twist that lets you play like literally any NPC in the city of London where it’s set. That opens up huge worlds of possibilities in terms of how you want to tackle any task or mission.

6. Call of Duty: Black Ops 5

Release date: 2020

Publisher: Activision

A bit like FIFA, above, you can be pretty sure that a new Call of Duty title is just around the corner at any time. After the success of last year’s Modern Warfare reboot, and given the renewed popularity it’s enjoying thanks to the new battle royale mode, Warzone, Call of Duty is on the rise again.

Multiple reports have indicated that the next game will return to the Black Ops franchise, and will take place in the Cold War, which is another change in configuration and equipment for players.

7. Hitman 3

Release date: January 2021

PS5 exclusive: No

Publisher: IO Interactive

After the slow recording success that IO has enjoyed with Hitman and Hitman 2, he is completing his new trilogy with a third installment that looks absolutely beautiful. The trailer we’ve seen shows locations as ambitious as anything we’ve played so far, and we’re anticipating more ways to finish off our goals than ever before. Released in January 2021, it will be one of the first big third-party games for next-gen consoles, which is always an exciting time.

8. FIFA 21

Release date: 2020 holidays

Publisher: EA

There are a few things you can trust, such as a watch, and an annual FIFA release lives up to them. There’s no possible way EA Sports is missing out on FIFA 20’s readiness for the launch of PlayStation 5, as far as we can imagine, so you can surely pick it up with your new console.

It will be interesting to see what changes are coming this year, after the introduction of Volta football in FIFA 19, especially in light of how incredibly disturbed the real-life game is today.

9. Cyberpunk 2077

Publisher: CD Projekt Red

We know that CD Projekt Red is planning to release its next sci-fi magnum opus on next-gen consoles, thanks in large part to the Xbox Series X – actually, the console’s new proprietary scheme will make Xbox One buyers Get the game free on Xbox Series X too. Unless there is a massive, secret behind-the-scenes exclusivity deal, that means the PS5 is sure to get Cyberpunk 2077, too.

10. Rainbow Six: Siege

Release date: 2020 holidays

Publisher: Ubisoft

Rainbow Six: Siege has been one of the slow success stories of the current generation of consoles, starting as an interesting reinvention of the Rainbow Six tactical game, before slowly and carefully evolving into a truly popular online shooter game that’s not going to nowhere.
